Winter will be colder than normal in the north and warmer in the south, with the coldest periods in mid- and late November and throughout most of December. Precipitation will be above normal, on average, with snowfall below normal in the north and above normal in the south. The snowiest periods will be in late November, early and late December, and late January. April and May will feature near-normal temperatures, with precipitation above normal in the northeast and below normal in the southwest. Summer will be warmer and rainier than normal, on average, with the warmest periods in mid-July and early August. September and October will be warmer and wetter than normal, on average.
