Question of the Day

What is the origin of the phrase β€œburning the candle at both ends”?
That phrase was coined by the American poet Edna St. Vincent Millay in 1920. It comes from her poem β€œFirst Fig”: β€œMy candle burns at both ends; / It will not last the night; / But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends— / It gives a lovely light!”

Astronomical: The actual position of the Moon within the constellations on the celestial sphere.
